About me
Kate Hurry, MBA, FCIM, Chartered Marketer
An award-winning corporate communications leader, I have more than 20 years’ experience of leading and managing communications and engagement across the health and care sector to deliver measurable outcomes.
I have worked within small and large organisations, and across complex systems, to support strategy development, the creation of vision, values and ways of working, and embed robust engagement practices to engender trust across all stakeholder groups.
Before setting up my own business, I worked at board level as part of an executive team to embed communications in everything we did. I’m incredibly proud of my team, whose work had real impact.
Most latterly, under the umbrella of my own business, I have supported the five provider NHS trusts and the integrated care board in Lancashire and South Cumbria to deliver major transformational change, working with trust boards, trades unions and other colleagues across multiple organisations to do so.
Committed to public sector principles, I am passionate about my work and offer a range of services including:
– Strategy development
– Communications and engagement strategy and planning
– Transformational change support
– Staff and stakeholder engagement
– Messaging and strategic narrative development
– Storytelling
– Thought leadership
– Boosting leaders’ visibility
A former national newspaper journalist, I am a member of the Chartered Institute for Marketing and I have a number of qualifications in journalism and marketing, as well as an MBA which focused on communications and change management.
I am delighted that my experience and expertise have been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing who have invited me to be a Fellow. This is an accolade awarded to those at “the top of their profession and a profession they are proud to be part of”.
